TOTEM Cirque Du Soleil ~ San Diego performance
Wow!! Amazing!! Astonishing!! I am at a loss for words. These are some very skilled and talented people that put this show on. I went to TOTEM Cirque Du Soleil last night, and the show was amazing. I went to the showing here in San Diego at the Del Mar Fairgrounds at 8pm last night.
So much of this show took my breath away and left me with my mouth hanging open, I was amazed at the acts, the skill and the strength of these people. The costumes were beautiful from the lizard looking people to the Indians on roller skates. I had no idea you could manage what these people managed on roller skates and a small round platform. Astonishing!! Then there were men balancing men on a pole with their fore head and throat… you have to see it to believe it!
The show was 2 hours long, with a 30 minute intermission after the first hour. The time flew by I had no idea we had been there as long as we were. The acts kept your attention so time just raced by. I would love to have seen even more.
There was nothing in this show that let me down, no error and some real talent.
I do have to say the seating let me down. As far as being able to see they were great, but the seats themselves were very small even for normal to small people and honestly we sat directly on top of each other. What do I mean? I was squished between another woman and my daughter, I had to put my one arm around the back of my daughters chair in an attempt to give more room but it was very uncomfortable. By Squished I mean we were in contact from our legs to our shoulders at all times, absolutely not enough room. That was disappointing and my back is sore today. But we had great visual even from the top of the stands it’s very up close and personal.
When you enter the big top there is an area surrounding tent, that is under the tent but not where the show takes place, there you can buy drinks and food and even souvenir items. It’s very nice area to wait for the doors to open and to be seated. The do serve alcohol and beer and soda etc.
I had a great time, Thank you to US Family Guide for the tickets and the ability to review the show. We will be talking about this experience for a very long time. If you are able to attend one of their shows I suggest you do. It is Amazing!!
