I have been given the opportunity to review David’s Cookies. I received a tin of the Florentine Lace cookies, they were amazing to say the least. These cookies are thin, crisp, sweet, with chocolate filling.

This is an exquisite candy cookie made with honey and cashews that sandwich an all chocolate center. They’ve got a sweet, crunchy texture. Bring it to school or bring it to the office.

The flavor of the cookie reminded me a bit of toffee, it is sweet but not too sweet, with a nutty flavor the chocolate is the perfect match for this cookie and gives it a great flavor. It is very much a cross between a candy and a cookie. I truly enjoyed it and so did my kids. I am sure you would as well.

David’s cookies was started by a chef, David Liederman, back in 1979 when he wanted to share the cookie boutique trend he found in California, with the people in the East. He opened stores in the East and did very well. When costs raised greatly in the 1980′s a lot of the David’s cookies stores closed down and the company was sold to Fairfield Gourmet Foods Corp a New Jersey based gourmet dessert company they did some rejuvenating of the brand and then in the 1990′s started the online site we have today. A great company producing lovely desserts for all to enjoy.

This weekend was my 43rd birthday and the following day was Mother’s Day! Two very special days in a row for me. This year is probably the best one I have ever had. I am blessed by the people in my life.

I have great friends who gave me a nice party and dinner, Carl took me to a special dinner of Lobster, shrimp and Scallops, my dad took us all out to dinner, my girls spent the entire weekend with me, my youngest did all the dishes and wiped all the counters down in the kitchen and helped to clean up the house, I got terrific gifts… All my online blogging buddies and friends were very sweet to me with all the good wishes. The Vtech LS6475-3 Multitasking Phone System is a busy moms best friend because it comes with a cordless/hands free headset. Yep that is right it’s a home phone system with a headset that allows all us busy busy moms to move around while we need to be on the phone. We can chat or get some business handled while we pick up the house or do the dishes or chase after our kids or work. Any mom would love this phone and it would make a great Mother’s Day gift! What better gift can we give a busy mom on mother’s day but a phone she can use to chat with us and still be able to move around the house. Also if you get pain in your neck and shoulders due to holding the phone with your head and shoulder, you will love this phone. I have for years had a problem with my neck and shoulder hurting so I cannot hold the phone with my shoulder and head at all or I am in pain, that is why I absolutely love the headset.
