As a Nana to a beautiful 3 year old boy, I am always looking for new and interesting toys for him to play with and grow his imagination. Sometimes that is a very hard thing to do as kids now seem to be fixated on electronics and he is no different even at his age. I want him to grow up like my children did, with very little exposure to video game and such. Now I know this may be a little unrealistic of me, but I feel kids are now missing out on being kids, playing and using their imaginations to fuel their play.

Blankz designable toys are just what the Nana ordered. A toy that is a clean slate and allows a child to create whatever their little minds and hearts can come up with. Hallelujah! No batteries, video screens or controllers, just good old pretend. I bet when I was a kid the word pretend came out of my mouth 100 times a day: pretend you’re a dinosaur, pretend I am chasing you and so on. I want that for him.
Blankz are a soft, plush toy that your child can color , wash and recolor again, endlessly. My little one had so much fun decorating his Blankz. He sat and concentrated and then began to create his masterpiece ( remember he is 3) . I loved watching what he decided to do with it. Coloring the eyes or putting spots on it, his creations were limitless. Below is a picture of his creation, that he is extremely proud of. He did get a bit of marker on himself and his table but what little boy doesn’t make messes? Isn’t that part of the fun? But I will say this, It did not wash off his hands as easily as the box says. After 2 hand washings, we still have marker on them. You may want to use disposable gloves. Also when you put it in the washer, I would advise washing it by itself. As the water filled up, I could see the colors bleeding into the water.
